Getting started

Add the bot, open the dashboard, and turn on what you need.

1. Add VantaSupport to your server

  • Open the invite link and pick your server.
  • Keep the default permissions on the invite screen. VantaSupport needs them to create ticket channels, manage roles, moderate, and post.
  • Authorize. The bot joins your server immediately.

2. Open the dashboard

  • Sign in to the dashboard with Discord.
  • Pick your server. You can manage a server here if you have the Manage Server permission in it.
  • You land on the server overview, with quick links to every module.

3. Configure what you need

Each feature is its own module in the dashboard sidebar. Turn on only what you want.

  • Vanta AI for AI support. See Vanta AI.
  • Tickets for staff support. See Tickets.
  • Moderation for automod, anti-raid, verification, and mod commands. See Moderation.
  • Utility for reaction roles, autoroles, scheduled messages, and more. See Utility.

Permissions VantaSupport uses

Grant these so every feature works. The simplest setup is to keep the bot role high in the role list.

  • Manage Channels to create and rename ticket channels.
  • Manage Roles to assign support, ticket, autorole, reaction-role, and verification roles. The bot can only manage roles below its own.
  • Manage Messages for tickets, automod, and purges.
  • Ban / Kick / Moderate Members for moderator commands and anti-raid.
  • Send Messages, Embed Links, Attach Files, Add Reactions, Read Message History everywhere it operates.
  • View Audit Log so moderation logs can attribute actions.
If a feature silently does nothing, it is almost always a missing permission or a role sitting above the bot. See the FAQ.

Commands vs the dashboard

Most of VantaSupport is configured in the dashboard, not with commands. The main command surface is moderation: slash commands under /mod (for example /mod ban, /mod warn, /mod purge), with the same actions available via a text prefix. The default prefix is ! and can be changed in the dashboard.
