Quick answers to the most common questions.

Vanta AI is not answering

  • Onboarding is complete on the Vanta AI page.
  • The channel is watched. Vanta AI only answers in channels and ticket types you add to its active list.
  • There is matching knowledge. If nothing relevant is found, it stays silent on purpose.
  • Credits remain for the month.
  • Send Messages and Embed Links are granted in that channel.

A command replies "Something went wrong"

The most common cause is a missing Embed Links or Send Messages permission in that channel. Grant them and try again.

The bot will not assign a role

The bot can only manage roles below its own. Move the VantaSupport role above the roles it needs to assign, and make sure it has Manage Roles.

Moderation actions silently fail

The bot role must be above the target member and it needs the matching permission (Ban, Kick, or Moderate Members). For mute, set a mute role or rely on Discord timeout.

How do I move the bot to my own brand?
