Cookie Policy

Effective May 23, 2026·Version 1.0

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used by the VantaSupport dashboard. We use the smallest set we can. We do not use cookies for advertising and we never sell what they record.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They allow a site to remember your actions, preferences, and sign-in state across requests and visits. “Cookies” in this policy also covers similar technologies such as localStorage, sessionStorage, and pixel tags where used.

2. Cookies we set

NamePurposeTypeLifetime
sessionHolds your signed JWT after Discord OAuth. Required to keep you signed in.Strictly necessaryThirty days, sliding
oauth_stateAnti-CSRF random value during the Discord OAuth handshake.Strictly necessaryTen minutes

That is the complete set. We do not set analytics, advertising, or other non-essential cookies.

3. Third-party cookies

We do not allow third-party advertising cookies. The Discord OAuth handshake takes place on discord.com and any cookies set there are governed by Discord's Privacy Policy.

Every cookie we set is strictly necessary to deliver a service you requested (keeping you signed in and protecting the sign-in flow), so under the EEA/UK ePrivacy rules and similar laws they are exempt from consent. Because we set no functional, analytics, or advertising cookies, there is no cookie-consent banner to manage.

5. Other storage technologies

Where you have a dashboard session we may use a small amount of browser localStorage and sessionStorage for UI state (such as the last selected server) and short-lived form drafts. We do not use device or browser fingerprinting or pixel-based tracking beacons.

6. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

We do not use targeted advertising cookies, so there is nothing for a Do Not Track browser signal to disable. We treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid request to opt out of any future sale or sharing of personal information, even though we do not sell or share it today.

7. Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies from your browser settings. Doing so will sign you out and may break parts of the dashboard. Most browsers also support a private browsing mode that clears cookies when the window is closed.

8. Changes

We update this policy whenever the set of cookies changes. The effective date at the top of the page reflects the latest revision.

9. Contact

Email privacy@vantasupport.com with questions about cookies or to request changes to your consent record.
